Hi everyone (the maybe 2 people who occasional read this, haha),
Sorry I've been absent from posting this month and sorry my last post was mostly a cop-out. Anyways, 2011 so far has been for the most part okay. Nothing to amazing but nothing too horrible either. I have started some exciting new projects and planning others. The first one started on the first Monday of the month and my contributions will be every Monday from now until oblivion (okay, maybe not). It's a fiveawesomegirls inspired collaboration channel on YouTube called JelliclesVlog. And yes, its all Cats fans... What can I say, they are my kind of people. The other projects are also video based, a few secret music videos and a semi-secret mini documentary series I'll be doing with Jim. All I can say so far is it's called Adventure Science and it will eventually be on his channel, TheLongHolidays.
In other news, I have slowly been trying to save money for my next costume project but it's taking longer that I expected. Also, now I have my camera payments as well...*sigh* Why can't I just be in an awesome internet band and go on tour and not have a day job. Kristina Horner, I will steal your life! Okay, that sounded a bit creepier than I intended. Seriously Kristina Horner, I'm just admiring your life...that all I promise you. Hahaha
Do you ever feel like you have too many intrests? Too many in a way that it physically takes up your life, not just your time. For instance, I LOVE film editing and computer stuff...so I have 2 computers, 3 external hard drives, 4 cameras (one HUGE studio one) and more cords and data CDs than I can count. That's one hobby. Then, I am a costume maker. I have a sewing machine, crates (yes more than one) of supplies such as fabric, paint, glue, foam, fluff, and other things that take up space, 4 wig heads and 5 nice expensive wigs and tons of cheap ones, not to mention all the finished costumes I've made (one which includes a hoop skirt). That's hobby number 2. Then I own countless DVDs and Books and Sketchbooks. Then there's my cheap colored pencils and my expensive prisma pencils. (You've noticed I've stopped numbering the hobbies as they start to blend together) I have countless t-shirts for wearing, cutting up and wearing/selling, making into pillows or quilts 'one day' Then, makeup...normal girley 'daily' makeup and two large containers of stage makeup. I'm trying to re-teach myself guitar, so there's that huge thing. Oh, and I'm a girl...so clothing and shoes...lots of them. So yeah, I'm trying to simplify my live via getting rid of stuff...but the fact of the matter is: the mere thought of giving up one of my hobbies (and in some cases, potential future careers) just about breaks my heart. So, mostly non-existent blog readers...what should I do?
I'm becoming a bit of a Harry Potter nerd, thanks to discovering wizard rock *headdesk*
It's actually kind of awesome but to be active in the HP fandom you're going to eventually chose a house to belong to. That is, a Hogwarts house. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, or Hufflepuff. So, I picked one that I felt best represented myself and what I'd like to be like.
Which house are you in?
Why I'm not Ravenclaw - I have self-diagnosed mild Dyscalculia and I can't spell despite my love of reading and writing. But I'm still creative and again, LOVE reading and writing.
Why I'm not Hufflepuff - Because I refuse (hey it worked for Harry and Slytherin), not because they are lame or anything...I just don't feel like it's really where I belong.
Why I'm not Slythrein - Come on, really? I'm too empathetic to be that self serving. It's an apparent weakness of mine, but I find it hard to be mean for no reason.
Why I AM Gryffindor - I may not strike you as the bravest, in fact I've had trouble with phobia's in the past, but I am determined to change that. I like the good guys, I like being on the winning team, and not to take words directly from the Sorting Hat Song but I feel I'm pretty chivalrous. Less meaningful reasons include being a feline lover (ever since The Lion King, I've adored lions) and I'm an Aries, fire element. I don't believe in astrology at all and I'm not even sure if Gryffindor has officially been associated with fire...but yeah, the comparison was made in my head, deal with it.
